Spotty peppers
« on: June 10, 2013, 18:44 »
Hi all I have noticed today that a few of the pepper plants have little shiny black spots on them. Two or three have lots of it and a couple just a few. Anyone had anything similar?
Did have quite a few aphis on them, they are now gone though.

Sounds like it might be bacterial leaf spot which is propagated by damp weather. There's little control for it other than to carefully gather infected leaves and bin them. A copper-based spray will help a little but might not control it completely.

Ok,  they have been in a greenhouse, but with cucumbers too, so it's very high humidity.
Remove all diseased stuff then I reckon.
Thank you trillium.
