Dear Experts

I've googled my chilli problem but can't find anything.

Does anyone know what could be causing this problem? It seems that every time one of my chillis starts to ripen, something is eating in to the fruit and they wither up. The plants and leaves look healthy.

I have performed an autopsy on a couple of the earlier victims, but can't see anything inside the chilli except that some of the seeds have gone black.

I've just split this one and a tiny fly walked out. Could that be my villain and does anyone have some advice about what I can do to save the rest of my crop?

Theres the pepper maggot - but Im not sure if you'll have them over there. Google should be able to help more.

Once the fruit has been compromised its going to rot so you might as well remove anything with a hole in it.

Some of the google photos show an orange fly and I've definitely got at least one of them in the tunnel, so looks as if we do have them here 

Touch wood, they are only affecting one set of chillis, but I also have sweet peppers and aubergines which are showing signs of leaf damage so I'll need to find some form of attack pdq

I've had caterpillars in chilis (from little brown moths) and sometimes a brave squirrel takes a single bite.
