French dwarf beans beetroot The first lot I planted direct out into the soil the crop field then I put more beans in and more beetroot and beetroot seeds in and when I went there to see no show anything I've been watering them is this something to do with the heat wave I have been in over a week now

we start these in modules then plant out just done this with beetroot rocket and lettuce at least that way the mice cant get the seeds which may have happened to you i think still time for beetroot [we put about 6 seeds per module and plant out as a clump seems to work well]  good luck.

I've just directly sown some more beetroot and they're coming up ok, but we've had quite a bit of rain since I sowed them and not as much heat as down south.

I’ve been giving the soil a good soak then sowing a row of seeds in a small drill to make future watering a bit easier. I’ve also covered the seeds over with an old plank to keep them a bit moist, check daily for sprouting growth and then remove.
