If you could only choose one spud?

Hiya
If you could only choose one spud which would it be ? a good all rounder spud that can be used for most things.
I have limited space and can prob only grow one type and am interested to see what you guys would choose if you could only choose one  :)

I'm not sure this thread will have a lot of point to it, when it's finished, as there are so many variables. Individual taste, climate, soil type etc.

You'll probably get 25 different answers from 24 people!

Here's mine for what it's worth...

Earlies - Pentland Javelin
Second Earlies - Charlotte
Main crop - Ambo.


Did it really tell you to do THAT on the packet?

Charlotte .I believe you can leave these to get a bit bigger as well as being salad tats but I could be totally wrong.  Had a great yield from these.

Maybe ...just maybe... they are better home grown. But i'm not convinced ::)
