I like Desiree, but they don't seem to like my soil!

I did a test last year with a lot of different varieties. From a 26' row, I got half a bag of Desiree, but 2 bags of Ambo!
Did it really tell you to do THAT on the packet?

Pink Fir Apple,  a late main crop, I would not be without this great tasting salad potato, which stores well into April. A bit tricky to peel, I usually cook them skins on.
There is no better show of antisipation than a man sowing seeds in a field.

You've tried peeling PFA!

They were the only ones of mine that got blight last year. Had a load of smelly tubers.

PFA are easy to peel when they are cooked. ;)
I demand the right to buy seed of varieties that are not "distinct, uniform and stable".

Ice

smash seems to have improved a hell of a lot since it first come out.  I used to hate the stuff but its very passable now.  Some of the other instant stuff though is still sloppy.

Picasso were my second choice to Ambo from last year's trial.

I'm having to go with those this year as my local hadn't got Ambo!
