Sounds like your doing what we did as a tempary enclosure. As long as it's big enough and they are not too tempted by whats on the other side they will propably stay put. We have one chicken that likes to escape but we have made it easy with the coop being next to my neighbours hedge.

Anyway I managed to get some steel angle posts 2.4m high from Wyvale garden centre. They were in the sale but even at full price very reasonable. I have been considering my options for my full enclosure have opted for a cage from Harrod Horticulture (husband found us a good deal 20% off). However we looked everywhere and found the cheapest place for wood is Jacksons. A few 2x2 posts and netting stapples/stapple gun and the job is done. If you want extra wide netting for a roof Harrod is really good and very reasonable price. Tried all sorts of fencing companies but found them even more expensive.

I made a fixed enclosure for them using 2x2 posts and wire mesh but I think they need a bit of freedom and diversity. I'm pricing up from knowlenets who I've used before. 20mx2m comes to £18 I think. Very cheap way of giving them some restricted freedom.
