Hello, my first post here and im looking for advice.
I have had a clear out today of my raised bed and have some spare space so I am wondering what I can plant now for some fresh produce over the winter/Spring
I live in Cambridgeshire, East anglia.

hi Manimal and welcome to the site, i am also in cambridgeshire.  leeks, spring cabbage, kale, purple sprouting broccoli can all go in now but its abit late from seed (i think) so you would have to get plants from a garden centre or nursery. have you tried this one?

you could sow a few white lisbon onions for salad onions next march - valdor lettuce is a hardy type for cutting early spring. what ever you grow make sure it wont clash with plans for the space in 2009, if it does then sow a green manure crop, rape is a good cheap one ,even cheaper if you can find a heap in a field gateway where it has spilled from the trailer. i picked up about 7 kg last week

Thanks for all your replies. Thats shop isnt too far from where I live so im sure I can make a trip there sometime soon and get planting.
This is my first year growing veg so am a bit clueless about when you plant out etc, would like to grow everything by seed by have clearly left it too late, but am happy to by plug plants to get me growing again.
