I had a few volunteers too - a beetroot grew to full size through the pebbles in my greenhouse floor, a pumpkin sprang up beside the compost bin and potatoes have appeared in strange places.
Funny how vigorous the volunteers grew too, with absolutely no care or assistance! :?

And most annoying is the fact that I failed growing any tomatoes from seed, no matter how hard I tried! However everything that I've repotted or grown in garden compost is full of tomato seedlings

I know what I'll be doing next year.
