All season I've been moaning about the 'volunteer' spuds that were growing in my mange tout.

Not today!

Found these when clearing up the rows.........

Did it really tell you to do THAT on the packet?

They are plants from previous potatoes that have been plants....you know ...the ones you always seem to miss!! :)

Wish I could get hold of some Kestrels so I too can add to my key collection  :wink:

I have a bunch of volunteers as well; still too early to dig them up to find out what I have, but I know for a fact there won't be any keys or washing machines among the lot.  :lol:  More likely I'll find rusted nails and broken crockery. You'd think I'd at least find a decent teacup in there.

Talking about volunteers, I've got chard coming up in my brassica bed, I don't like it so haven't planted any and have had the plot 3 summers now, and it's not come up before, weird!
