Hi Folks

This is another beginners question, so appologies if it sounds stupid. I'm growing beetroot boltary and all seems well at the moment.

However i have noticed some of them have a couple of reds small beetroots formed that you can see slightly above the surface. Some others you can just see one beetroot that has formed on others.

I not sure if this is nomal, something to worry about or the way beetroot develops.

Can anyone give me some advice please.

The first thing to understand is that what you think is a single beetroot seed is actually a group or collection of seeds.  That may answer your question if you think about it. 
Just let them carry on growing.

A tip,  try and keep the upper part of the beetroot bulb covered with soil, this way the beets look better, because if left open to the sun the upper skin dryes out and looks 'crusty'.

They throw up a long stem with flowers on.
