Watered my fruit bushes and tomatoes did a little weeding then just chated to a neighbouring plot holder,
Well it was the grandson of the plot holder he is helping out or taking over , unaficially I think.
But a nice bloke all the same.
Returned home to cut the grass before it gets wet again.

Just dug up 80 onions and hung to dry. Out of all the sets planted only 4 went to seed .
Still got about 30 to lift but they were planted a month later and look to be still growing none of them have gone to seed yet.

Weeded area and fed with some FBB .

Started my reorganisation of plot 1. Dug out all the strawberries into large pots and moved the raised bed further down the plot. Still have to put the manure in and the soil to put back into the bed. Will do that tomorrow.

Watered the leeks and wallflowers, cleared the broad bean patch and planted lettuce. Lifted onions, potaotes and pulled beetroot as well as a little digging.

For once I didn't mow the paths!  :)

Checked the notice board and discovered our site won best site in Liverpool and that my plot was top ten on our site.  Pleased.

I spent two hours pulling out pea haulms, after taking off all the pods I have saved for next year's seed

Just started  harvesting the tom's and the onions are definitely swelling. garlic is all nicely platted and hanging in the shed, the greenhouse water butt has always had water this year so I suppose that one conciliation, another month or so and it will be time to join the swallows and go south.
