Sprout attack!!

Help -my brussels are being ravaged in the night - the leaves are being stripped, it dont look like slugs - what can it be and how do i stop it?? :cry:

My money would be on "the slimy ones"...  They're sneaky.

Having said that, if they're not covered it could just as easily be the flying rats, although they tend to leave more destruction that carefully stripped leaves.

Cover with netting and scatter pellets, install armed guards, gun turrets and a flak battery. I think that just about covers everything. mmmmm wonder if a mote would work ....  :?:

go out with a torch and have a look - early morning pigeons can be a pain in the ass though.

hi there , youve been hit by the dreaded stuggy aka wood pigeon  place canes around the sprouts and then string around them , may dangle a few cds around them , cliff ritchard cds do it on my plot

Ours were exactly the same. They are now netted adn seem to be slowly recovering.

Thanks for all thge handy answers, ive got so many pellets down that my soil is blue --- however there are pigeons in my area maybe its them. ive got a large plastic sheet over 'em now so maybe that will help
