Lunch in the garden  This was their 1st trip out. 10 minutes and although the sun was out i worried they would get cold

Is it ok to give them boiled eggy sometimes and is there anything else i can give them for a change?other than chick crumbs

I love all the photos Fruity especially the look on the face of one of them in the garden you could give them moist bread crumbs, bits of squished corn but they will be happy with chick crumbs too

Dried mealworms for a treat They go mad for them, not too many though just a couple each They'll play chase trying to get them off each other

Thanks for the dining ideas  I just love them i really do! i hope all 3 are girls.Especially the one pulling the punky face.She is so attached to me.Now i know what its like to love a bird!!!!!!!!!!
We have taken lots of piccies when they were in the garden,every time a pigeon or seagull flew over they got all embarised

It'll be ages before you can tell if they are boys or girls.  Buff Orps are one of the most awkward breeds to sex!  I hatched 5 for my mum last year and we thought wee had 3 girls and 2 boys, but now at least 4 are laying and we can't tell them apart so we now think they are all girls!

That means i will never want to part with any boys (i already dont)

How long do they take to fully mature?and when do they start laying eggs?
