Our allotments suffered with a recent heavy frost. So much so the greenery on the emerging potatoes got caught...droopy/black... will this affect the crop at all...will they recover..will my new spuds be ok?

They'll recover, it'll just set them back a bit.

Same happened to me last week, my spuds (pardon the pun) have already sprouted new shoots, all is not lost.
