What can i say?  Yea!!!  only put them in last week and looks like the majority have germinated and not been eaten by mice.  was worth waiting for the ground to dry up and planting them out later than I originally planned to.

Make sure the sparrows don't eat them as they seem to love young pea shoots.

They seem to like a play with a lot of stuff they don't really eat, the little devils.

Yay, CD, lot of peas. :D  :D

Nothing so posh in my plot ice!  Can't wait for the pods now, I love peas, probably more than the mice do!

I tried to start mine off in cell trays to get an early start but the mice kept stealing them so eventually I gave up and just put the peas straight in the ground and they've all germinated and are coming through.

Not had the same success with my French beans though - they seem to have all have rotted away in the seed trays.

I think that the peas I diligently started off in root trainers will soon be caught up with by the soil planted ones.  most of my french beans died too, planted over 50 but only got 16.  same with the climbers, planted 20 of each and got 7 of one lot and 5 of another.  Still, had they all grown I'd have been giving them away as I only wanted 7 of each anyway!
