Split Courgettes

Split Courgettes

Just recently I have noticed some of my Courgettes have split.  Is this something to do with the watering?

Perhaps too much water? I don't water mine. The plants are enormous and from past experience the roots go down for miles. Try leaving them to find their own supply, unless you're on sandy soil?
