what plants can i save seeds from that are guaranteed to be the same as the parent plant even if it flowers next to d different type of plant like a green lettuce next to a red one both flowering at the same time? as you can tell i'm a bit confusssed :wacko:

You cannot trust the bees to do it , you have to hand pollinate and put a bag over the flowers to stop the bees getting at them.

I have saved seed from runners, sugar snap peas, lettuce, radish and various squashes with good results even if not 100% true to type.

Definitely agree with 8doubles. Even if the bees did it right, the wind would blow in pollen from similar plants and ruin the strain you have.

It is not straightforward and there are no guarantees.
