Am growing some Skagit Magic this year - they are sitting in the propagator now. If you've got some TPS, fancy comparing notes over the season?

I have sowed skagit magic and venessa twice, but have done nothing. I do however have some Golden Wonder and fortyfold seedlings going. This is my first year for TPS  :)

You are not on your own, I always thought the left over potato was the seed?

True potato seed - when potatoes flower (not all potatoes do) a berry forms (as long as it is pollinated) and inside there are seeds which is referred to as true seed unlike seed potatoes which we are used to. TPS do not grow true to type but can give lots and lots of variations (there is some lengthy scientific info online about it if you fancy getting confused/ overwelmed).

Hope this helps  :)

And just to add to NG's post, don't forget that the 'berries' are poisonous and must not be eaten.
I try to take one day at a time, but sometimes several days all attack me at once...

Seed spuds are clones, so will always be the same. TPS may well have crossed with other varieties so will not necessarily all be the same.
