She's back!!!!!!!!!!!!

We've finally got our runaway hen back!!!....no thanks to the blooming builders or the driver of the truck!!! :twisted:
We tried to get the telephone number of the guy/firm who took her.......as per usual the building boss did'nt get back to us. Karl went again to him for news. I think he got a bit arsey with Karl, BUT we finally got the name of the company. Managed to eventually contact them and it transpires that the guy who had her wanted to wring her neck but the receptionist (who keeps chickens managed to dissuade him!!) They finally took her to Camperdown Wildlife Park, Dundee......which incidentally is a 58 mile roundtrip!!!!
She sat on Karl's lap on the way home and we fed her a little bit of hot x bun!! She was very happy looking out of the window.....so happy that she did'nt an enormous poop on his lap the size of a tennis ball!!!!!!!

ps...the people at the wildlife centre were so good to her, even got the vet to look at her and he gave her a shot of baytril....just to be on the safe side as regards her wound

Her home for the last 4 days was in a huge pen with storks, black ibis, peacocks and a few other choox. She also feasted out on dead chicks and mice!!!!!!

When my granddaughter next comes up to us we will definately take her there for a day out.

Your hen must have read'The Hen Who Wouldn't Give Up' by Jill Tomlinson....a tale of an adventurous chicken who jumps into trucks etc to try to find her cousin!
