Pulled up my first ever parsnips today

It took me half an hour to pull 4 of em up. Need to get down the gym I think.

Anyway they were ok. Some of them were lovely - about 10 inches long and only one straight root. One was dead fat at the top but when I pulled it up it had about 8 roots all twisted together - wierd. Managed to extract the bigger parts and they are now roasting in the oven.
