I dug up my parsnips today.....Look!!!!

2007 was my first attempt at growing veg. I dug up the last of my parsnips yeaterday to clear the bed, look at these!

They were all massive!!!! I am well chuft. One parsnip makes a massive pan full of soup with a few sweet potatoes! Very tasty and so sweet!!

I didnt use manure on the 'roots bed'! and I didnt use any fertilisers either! The soil is clay and I dug in lighter top soil for drainage. I guess my soil is very nutritous!

The seeds were 'tender and true' the main variety sold in shop.
