i got a wrought iron boot jack from my mum, it brill makes the job so much easier, and garden vouchers from my friends at work which i spent yesterday on a new jumper and 3 bags of seed potatoes.

My neice gave me a Caroline Foley book which is like the Brief History of Time about allotments. Very complicated.

Self-sufficient in rasberries and bindweed. Slug pellets can be handy.

I had a lovely wooden swan necked onion hoe; waterfall watering can (apparently makes it easier to water! ) and Creative vegtable gardening book by Joy larkcom ....... lovely book with some wonderful ideas
