Not sure if this should be here, or chatting on the plot but...

It is my SIL birthday soon and she is also making small steps into the grow at home veggie thing. So, I was thinking we could get her something to encourage/help her along.

So, my question is, what would you say was the most useful/helpful/desirable bit of equipment, books, item that you have and why?

I hope someone may throw up the ideal gift with this brainstoring thread.

dr hessayons veg and herb expert. totally invaluable and the book i read the most.

As soon as i saw your question the first thing that came into my head was Dr Hessayon veg & herb expert book so i definetley agree with Rampant-Weasel!

I brought last week and even take it in to work with me to read when im quiet!

a selection of easy to grow seeds, e.g peas,lettuce, herbs, radish with a couple of nice containers and johns book
