Cleaning Solution

Hi there
Can anyone recommend a good cleaner for the house?? I was looking at Poultry Shield but wondered if it really was as good as it claims or do people use anything as good but a little cheaper?

Jeyes is fine for cleaning and disinfecting the henhouse. Poultry Sheild is used to kill any red mite in the henhouse.

Just make sure your Jeyes has dried before putting the chickens back in!

For general cleaning I use a 10% bleach solution. That is 1 tablespoon of bleach to 1 gallon of water, or 3.78 liters. It works vey good as a disinfectant.

Hi I just use a small animal discinfectant that I use for my rabbit hutches. It appears to work well and is not dear. You can get it from any pet shop . I spray the floor and roosting bars after I have cleaned the chucks out
