Burmese sour vegetable

Burmese sour vegetable

Some years ago in san francisco I had 'Burmese Sour Vegetable', which smelt very much like wee but only tasted of it a bit. I wonder what that is? That would help me make sure I didn't grow it accidentally.

I have plenty of Gallinsoga growing, so should have a go at making the national dish of Columbia :)

Could have been Chinbaung leaves? The nearest European taste seems to be sorrel.
does that sound right?

hmm I've had sorrel raw and cooked and it wasn't as vinegary as I remember the BSV...certainly wasn't as 'aromatic'... but will keep eye out for Chinbaung!
