So is it all dug yet?
Self-sufficient in rasberries and bindweed. Slug pellets can be handy.

In my head noshed it is fully dug over planted out and cropping as we speak!  if only it were so easy eh?!!

I shall measure up tomorrow, draw some plans of whats where and what I need to do to it, and then start to tackle it next week.  I shall be taking pics, I like to keep records of what I have done as a reminder of all the hard work!

Thanks for all the congrats.

How sad is this?  I actually spent valuable dreaming time last night planning out my plot!  Plus a very strange dream about a baby competition in hong kong judged by very elderly 'seniors'.  very wierd!

Well done, Crowndale, and a shed and greenhouse as well! That'll save you loads of time alone. Soon you'll have no shortage of labour as well

Ah, child labour, if only the social services knew my true intentions!!

Some pics of the plot:
From the greenhouse down to the road, my bit is the far side of the path as its stictly speaking a half plot, 150 metres square.

And from the road in middle of lotties to the greenho9use, not that you can see the greenhouse!

And a clsoer view of the shed and greenhouse through the apple tree:

Half a plot is superior to no plot any day! And it looks like you've got the best half so you're already miles ahead. I wonder if the other half of yours will become available by spring.

As for the kids, make it a learning game and they'll love it. My kids always grumbled regardless, but now that they're grown they're talking about getting their own homes with property to grow their own food on. Many is the time my peaches were almost ready and I'd find the kids under a suddenly empty tree covered in fresh pits and peached stained faces    My boys would even go out fishing and bring home their prizes so we could bury the whole fishes under the peach trees. Now that is superior to manure for peaches!

Half a plot is definetiely superior to no plot!  and the parish are talking about reducing the plots by half again which really will mean fairly pointless sized plots for the serious grower.  Next door is unlikely to come free and even if it did I'd have to wait til the 30 people behind me have a plot, (or a quatre plot!) before I could take it on.  Will dig this over and maintain it it a while and then see if I have the enrgy/time to take on another half plot.
