Flea beetle ang their wily ways
« on: May 23, 2012, 18:04 »
Any info appreciated as I've lost pal choi and my radishes are struggling. Is there any time where plants are too mature to be attacked? Trying orphaning big spray but not too successful.

Do they have an active season or are they permanent guests? Love my brassicas so don't want to lose my cabbages& Caulis to them as well!

Thanks in advance
G

Try planting lots of 'sacrificial' radishes.....sometimes the little blighters will concentrate on them and leave the more 'important' stuff alone.....or try the old sticky card trick....it works, but you need to do it daily to really dent the population.

I seem to see it most at this time of year, later plantings don't get nearly as holey  ;)
