I just noticed tonight when I was at the allotment that on the first two plots all the turnips have been really badly attached by Flea Beetle.  It doesn't appear to have made it to my plot yet and I was wondering if there is anything I can do to prevent it getting at my turnips?

Thanks will pop up in the morning and put some over the Turnips.  Is there anything else that they attack that I need to cover as well.

Sorry, forgot that swedes in Ireland are called Turnips so it is my swedes that I need to cover.  My parsnips are in a different bed would they attack them?

They get under it.

Keeping the soil damp seems to help.
