Leggy runner beans

 Hi my runner beans have grown very leggy . I know why but what i dont know is can i still grow them on or would it be better to start again .

Can you spread them out a bit Elfy?

Runners are usually fairly forgiving, but need a bit of TLC in the early stages!

If you start again of course, you may well get a decent crop in the late autumn, which is quite a good idea!

I'd sow some more now, and plant the lot!

pinch off the top so they branch out a bit more, they'll be fine ;)

That is good advice. Either cut them above the second joint or, if you feel brave, the first joint. They will quickly send out two more shoots. They will in fact cover your canes better than a single shoot and produce flowers lower down.
