I (for some unfathomable reason - probably because I thought the seed wouldn't germinate) have sown 2 cucumber seeds per pot and now have 2 seedlings - are cucumbers amongst those plants that don't like to be disturbed when planting out? Would I be better off nipping off one of the seedlings and planting out the remaining one? I'd rather not, as that was the last of my cucumber seed, but better one happy plant than 2 dead ones!

I sowed 6 cucumber seeds in a single 3 inch pot

When they came up I separated them very easily and pricked them out into separate pots and they've grown on very nicely. Cucumber are really one of the easiest seedlings to handle because they're so big.

Just make sure to hold them by their leaves, not the stem
