New Allotment Plum tree help needed
« on: May 10, 2012, 14:03 »
Hi,
On my newly aquired overrun allotment I have 2 golden drop mature plum trees. My neighbour told me what they were  but has advised me that they will get Red maggot ?????
Please can someone advise me on what this is and how to stop it.!

Thankyou all for reading this.

Plum moth maggot pink thing with a black head, grows next to the stone in yer plums and leaves it's frass there.

Get a pheromone trap up at head height by mid May to catch the male moths.

Cheers,     Tony.
I may be growing OLD, but I refuse to grow UP !
