what am i doing wrong??????

 :( :( i have tried 5 different varieties of tomato and only gardeners has come through al bought brand new! all kept in conservatory all watered properly in a propogator also chilli plants done nothing eithercucumbers nmot growing can someone give me a step by step because somewhere along the line i am doing something wrong! :( :( :( :( :(

Is the conservatory heated?

Is the propagator heated?

How wet are you keeping the compost - what is your watering regime?

Are they definitely not coming through (as opposed to coming through and they dying off quickly)?

How long ago did you sow the seeds?

the conservatory is heated yes!
the propogator is not!
the compost gets watered after dipping my finger in each day to check!
initially i was watering from the top then from underneath!
no signs at all!

How long ago were they planted?

Normally, with a propagator or other lid, you should water the compost before you sow the seed, and then it shouldn't need watering again until after the seeds have come through.

I wonder whether they are rotting off.

I think I would try sowing a few seeds into a 3ins pot with damp compost  and put into a plastic bag sealed in the airing cupboard . You will find the seeds need a constant temperature 19- 21 if possible  I was having great difficulties getting chillis and peppers to go even on a heat mat  yet they all came thro once put into the airing cupboard
