Protecting strawberry plants?

Hi, I have put in my strawberries and I was wondering if they need protecting from frost with fleece? Sorry it might seem a stupid question, new to it all!

No they will be fine.

Consider protecting from the birds when they are fruiting though

if its going to be a very hard frost and you have flowers in bloom it might be worth if on a better safe than sorry principle

my whole patch was burnt out as in 4 years old  so i went sraight in with a rotavator   :nowink: two weeks later  runners all over the place   :D i gently put them in there new home and hey presto i have a new patch  ::)  strawberrys are as hard a rhubarb me thinks   :mad:
