you wont get anything better than leaf mould to condition your soil especially if you have clay soil :wink:
feed the soil not the plants

Munty thanks for your minimalist answer but just to check, my 20 bags of leaves will cover only 8sq yards?  That's only 5ft of my plot which is 1/24th of the whole so I'll need 24 x 20 bags to cover the whole plot?  Please tell me I'm not just panicking Munty,

PS my plot is 15 x 120ft.
