Does anybody want to use my garden?
« on: March 18, 2012, 18:02 »
Hi all,

Not sure if I am on the correct website never mind forum.  I am after a little advice.  We bought my grandparents house about a year ago, our garden is massive and neither of us are keen gardners ( am I allowed to say that on here oops). I remember when I was little the garden was divided with a lawn on one side of a little fence and my grandads vegetables/ green house/ shed/ rose garden etc on the other (I've been told these were often prize winning).  It seem such a waste to leave it the way it is and would love for it to be used, we have also heard waiting lists for allotments can be long.

Does anybody know how I would find somebody wanting to use this land or want to themself? We live in south shields, Tyne and wear.  We would not ask any fee we simply want the garden to be used and somebody not to think of it as a burden

Thanks for any advice
Amy

I see Hugh's piggybacked on the idea.

Go straight to the site:

Did it really tell you to do THAT on the packet?

South Shields?

There's bound to be someone local that would be grateful for your offer.  ;)

The waiting lists for allotments are a nightmare these days!  :tongue2:

Why not start local. I would think you will find someone easily enough if you just put a card on your local shop/newsagent/post office/garden centre.

Be careful who you take on, remember you have to live with them.
