this may be old hat, but   Has anybody used a product called 'neem oil'.?  Apparently it stops the little blighters from biting on the soft fleshy stems and is eco-friendly?  So, before I waste any more hard earned cash on flash-in-the-pan products can anyone help?

Can't answer your question but was reading up on safe pesticides for fruit trees a few days ago and 'neem oil' was recommended. I have ordered a bottle from amazone £9.99
It will be intresting to see what other replies you get,  or whether anyone has used the product.

I have not heard of this before but just checked on google and you can get it for £4.89 from DiscountedPetProducts.Net .If you do try it out keep us posted as to its effectiveness.
