Since i lost my first chook , you become very aware of what you might have done wrong, the vet says it wasnt anything i did it was just one of those things but you still cant help feeling a bit sad about things.
I have bought some 'chicken spice' powder.
It tells you how much to give them per 10 birds but it does not say how often to feed it , does anyone know ?

once a month will be ok, basically  its just extra minerals n nutrients   with a good varied diet of seed corn greens etc they dont need it , just a modern addition to the many items being sold to make money taken from begginers in the chicken keeping fraternity .. what did the chook die of .?

As Munty says every month or so, more in the winter than summer when they're not finding so much natural food.  I just sprinkle some onto their pellets.
