hi im new at this

my allotment is right next to the shore all the plot holder are going down to get seaweed so am going to get some on sunday

would like to what to do with it

If you do not have specific permission or there aren't bye-laws permitting it, you are probably on dodgy legal ground.

The intertidal zone is otherwise known as the foreshore.

Seaweed reacts differently depending on what you do with it, have a read on the RHS website about it's uses.

But make sure you read the link and have permission to take it first or special branch/MI5 will be breaking down your doors to arrest you lol

I think the foreshore where you mean is owned by Portsmouth City Council, rather than The Crown, so you can always give them a ring.

My guess is (knowing where this is) they won't mind, as it banks up and would otherwise rot, but best to ask
