I nw only have 4 chickens as i lost 1 last week,, but my chicken which was laying regularly has now stopped i know they stop in winter but she was still layin. However our neighbour has a cockrel and he keeps coming round to our ladies enclosure, ever since this started she has stopped layin is this normal? advice would be appreciated

yes when chucks get stressed they very often stop layin its the uncirtanty for them they can see and here him but cant get to him you could get a cockerel of your own

thats what i am planning to do, dont nw what breed to get tho as ive gt 3 pekin bantams and a partridge wyandotte bantam any ideas?

it realy depends wether you are going to hatch the eggs if so you want to get one that is the same breed as your girls, if not any banty would do  :blink:
