Choice wasn't great, but we'll have plenty of cress & kale!
Did it really tell you to do THAT on the packet?

Well my 6 packets plus a lucky dip came from HSL today and I got ALL my first choices.  So I am now going to be growing crimson red broad beans, russian kale, some Kaskinauris turnips, Stoke lettuce, some yellow Aranyalma tomatoes and yellow Golden Grape tomatoes and Balder celeriac.

This is of course added to the plot, the plan for which was already full with all the usual suspects.

I think I might go for more variety but smaller quantities to get them in.   I will do less cabbage this year, which is a pity as brassicas grow really well on our plot, but there is a limit to the amount of red cabbage a family of 3 can eat.   I didn't really need 12 of them, and they were very large too.

Still, I hanker after another variety of summer squash, and may be just another tomato....

Just been cutting up some peppers for my salad to take to work and tasted one of the small sweet Orange ones I have from Aldi.  They are called Sweet Bites and are really nice and sweet, being me I have obviously saved some seeds  :nowink: but wondering if anyone has tried growing this variety.

Went to Wyevale today. They had three trugs of seeds at 10p a packet.

My name's Dave and I may be turning into an addict.

Sounds like another one joining the club resistance is futile  :D

I have some seed saved from the most delicious red pepper I have ever tasted, bought last year from the Co-op (surprisingly - their fresh fruit'n'veg are usually naff!)  I am really hopeful I can get some peppers from them this year.  Always worth the try!

I've made contact through Freegle with someone who is after any veg seed for a new food-growing project they're working on...what a great opportunity to get rid of all those packets of seed I don't/won't use,as well as the jars of runner bean seed I'm saving 'to make a chilli one day'

AND THEN I CAN BUY MORE  :)

:ohmy: more  ::)  :lol:

You've got to admire the logic there.  Give to charity - nice warm glow and good deed done.  Heheheheheh - empty space in seed box(es) to fill

I've resisted the bargain seed baskets at work all week now so I reckon the worse of my seed fever has passed  ;)

I'm settling down now too, and have decided what to grow. I managed to resist buying even one packet of seeds in Scats yesterday, or even any seed potatoes (which were very cheap) as mine are ordered.

Great feeling of achievement as I left the shop empty handed

I am such a saddo,  I read that there may be 10p seeds so rushed down but our Garden Centre does not have them.  Still came back with another bag of seed potatoes, well, I have never tried Pink Fir Apple.

When I gave up smokling a few years ago no one told me to beware of adiction replacement .  Patches anyone

Seed patches   Could probably grow a reasonable crop of mustard and cress with a cotton wool patch taped to your arm

I did buy seed potatoes from work this week   But I wanted to be sure I got what I wanted and they are flying out at the mo ........  honest Guv  :D
