spuds in greenhouse and first proper frost!
« on: December 03, 2011, 16:11 »
The last spud haulms(ones I planted end of proper season) have finally died off in the greenhouse.  I`ve had a sneaky peek.........spuds look small but really nice,no marks or blotches,no damage   8)

Should I leave them in the compost in the greenhouse?
Should I dig them all up and put them in bags like my other spuds (which are sprouting by the way, grrrrrrr)

What d`ya think?

I would leave them in the compost.  Nothing going to happen to them in there ;)

If you are having them for Christmas they should be OK but I would not leave them in there much longer as if we have another bad winter the frost will get them, unless you are very rich and can heat the greenhouse.   ;)
