I use AccuWeather.com and the BBC.
I work very hard so don't expect me to think as well.

Thanks Goosegirl. I have looked at Accuweather on your suggestion and am sure to get used to it. The BBC I find worse than useless though!

I gave up on Metcheck about a year ago as it frequently seemed to suffer from serious glitches (e.g. forecasts being 12 hours out of sync, with night temperatures far higher than day temps!)

I find the BBC site as good as any (i.e. a fair chance of getting today's weather correct but forget the 5-day forecast!  :tongue2:), but if you really want to know whether rain is heading your way nothing beats "raintoday.co.uk" which leaves you in no doubt as it shows you (almost) real-time rain radar images.  :)
Sow your seeds, plant your plants. What's the difference? A couple of weeks or more when answering possible queries!

I use BBC on the Internet set to my post code or the BC local off the TV but with a bit of my own local experience used to interpret the generalised nature of the forecast.
Over the years I have come to think our local evening newspaper was as good as any BUT then it went weekly so has become useless. I will try the others suggested though.

You can also get the rainfall radar from the met office website.

The other site I use is this.................

I also use XCWeather and find it good (well as good as forecasting can be)

The Met Office, as I've said on such threads in the past, its where others get their data.

Generally, I agree with Argyllie, but yesterday   the Met office was completely bonkers!

Got temperature in Derby as 13 C low at night, when it was really around 4C!  Oops.

Just put your finger up to the wind (can I say that on this forum, without being norty? ;))
and put on a jumper if you're cold   :tongue2: :tongue2:

I thought Accuweather did it's own weather modeling, rather than use Met office data

I do like the way Accuweather gives you a 'realfeel' temp as well as the actual temp. In the last couple of weeks there's been a lot of days where it felt an awful lot colder than the actual air temp. I tend to use that on my mobile phone, or use the Met Office site on my pc.
