Hi all, I had my lawn turfed 2 years ago and must say apart from the odd weed looks good

What i was wondering is my neighbour removed the hedge and erected a fence. I now have a 2 and a half foot gap in need to fill with either turf or top soil and seed.
Can anyone advise me on the best option at this time of year please?

Seed, but get it down quick or you'd be best waiting until the spring.

I would turf, it's a little more costly but get it down by the weekend and it'll be good through the winter.

If you seed it you may get patchy results at this time of the year.

You could always plant winter salad

I second seed..........no need to faff around getting turf at the right level ..just rake seed in and leave to grow. (I'm lazy )
Sow it quite thickly and cover with a bit of fleece to keep the birds off (Monty did some on GW last week)
