[Brambles]

I am desperately trying to find help for my walnut tree...  We planted it about 30years ago and it was a 10year old tree.   It has produced some beautiful nuts though they have often been fairly small, but delicious.   Suddenly this summer it has shed nearly all of it's leaves, they are brown and crisp and a few branches appear to be dead.
I fear that our lovely tree has some terrible disease and that it may not recover...there doesn't seem to be any fungus on branches or trunk.   There are no pests/insects that I can see.  Please has anyone come across this?

have a look around the base of the tree beneath a bit of the bark to see if there is any evidence of fungus

Quite a few established plants etc have suffered from the cold winter but only shown the impact late in this year.
