Another update.

Building more hen houses !  ::)
After buying a gold Dutch bantam rooster i then had to build him a new house as he was getting pecked to death by the larger hens. It always surprises me how cruel hens can be.

The completed house attached to the run. Should hold 6 bantams easily.

Fitted with wheels for easy movement.

Nest box's swing to the side for egg removal and access to the roosts.

Floor made to slide out to allow easy cleaning.

Robbie the rooster now has three gold hens to keep him warm at night, he probably thinks all his birthdays have come at once, lucky sod !!   :D

  It is really addictive this chicken keeping, just as well you are a joiner and you have a large garden.  Looking forward to seeing photos of your new ladies.   :)

Methinks you could easily have a new aspect to your business if you wanted it! :)
Experience is what you get when you didn't get what you wanted!!

Still building hen houses This one was built for my niece as a late Christmas present.

The main house is separate from the rest of the cage and end house for ease of moving.

There is a rear door to the back of the end house also.

You are going to love being a chicken owner and being a bit loopy about them like the rest of us!

I hear fox stories on here all the time - they weren't fox proof and its so heart breaking.

You'll need weldmesh and a way to stop them tunnelling into the run.

Welcome to our world!  :D
