What can I plant/sow now?

Hello, I'm a total novice to the allotment and veg growing malarky, i got my allotment last week, It's ready to go now and i have no idea as to what i grow on it so late in the season, any tips or ideas would be a real help to me. Thank you x

Welcome to the Forum.
Have a look at the sowing chart
here

You should be able to get some cabbage plants or winter cauliflower at the garden centre, and you can also plant winter onions soon, although these don't store too well when harvested next year, so don't plant too many. You could buy your garlic seed bulbs as well, they get planted in a couple of months.

My Rocket went to seed and my Broccoli has just bolted!
It's only my second summer at my allotment, so am fairly new to this.

I now have two patches to clear of redundant Rocket and Broccoli plants so wondered what I could fill them with at this time of the year?

You could try lettuce/salad leaves, radish, turnips, beetroot
I planted seed at weekend and they up already ;)

hi, iv just planted some winter caulis, not to many tho as they all come together next yr, grew then for the 1st time last yr and they survived all the harsh winter weather, including 3 feet of snow, they tasted lovely  ::)
