Blackcurrant Sage

I bought a blackcurrant sage from the gardencentre ,the leaves really smell of blackcurrant.Does anybody know how hardy it is as some sages are frost hardy .Sadly as I am a proper bloke I've thrown the instruction plastic thingy away :nowink:

No being a proper bloke doesn't stop me from googleing but in doing so I always see plants that I MUST have,particularly herbs.I did look at the link and it is frost hardy apparently it's just that I've seen three plants that its vital that I have in the garden too :nowink:

i had mine out all last winter and it was fine has lovley purple flowers on it now and ive got about 10 cuttings that have taken only problem is that the guy at the g.c told me it was nice in sweet dishes i tryed it stewed with rhubarb and it was awfull

not too sure now  ??? this site says it can be eaten as did the bloke in the g.c

anyway it tasted horible so i wont be eating it again anytime soon  :D

They can't make up their minds can they, as that site says it needs protection from severe frosts. C'mon .....it's either hardy or not...can't have it both ways  :nowink:
