I have a yellow courgette in a pot which I feed every week with comfry. For about 2 months there has been one courgette that has stayed the same size for that amount of time without getting any bigger or putting on any other fruit.

 I have no idea why.

How big is the courgette plant in diameter?  How wide is the pot?  How long is the courgette itself?  Are you getting any flowers at all?

Might be worth giving the occasional dose of tomato food instead of comfrey in order to provide the right nutrients for stimulating flowers.

so you have had a courgette on your plant since May? When did you plant them I hadn't even got mine sown then

Please post a photo of the plant so we can make a better diagnosis.  In my years of growing courgettes I have never heard of one that simply didn't grow for two months despite food and water.  By now it ought to be the size of a small pig.

I bought the plant at a garden center as it was a yellow variety i didn't have as seed. Still now only one fruit in all this time. We cut it last week as it was starting to slit. Still stayed the size of 10 cm long by 1 inch thick. It's the absolute truth. It never grew any bigger.

I would blame the fact that it was in a pot.  I have courgettes in three different places - allotment, front garden in shallow bed and back garden in rubbish soil.  The allotment ones are by far the most productive having had lots of courgettes, the front garden in shallow bed is a tiny dot and the back garden one the plant has now grown large but the courgettes are very small.  They will still grow, as courgettes do, but they are much hindered in my experience in limited growing conditions.

This must be a wind up as this contributor is never able to grow anything inhis plot.   Now we have a courgette that has stayed the same size for months???      I hope I am wrong but I don't think I am.

Bear in mid the size of the pot as well. Smallish pots lead to pot bound plants which will never grow big however much you feed them..............think bonsai here.

I have plants still in rootrainers and modules which didn't get planted out on the plot and they are still the same size they were a month or more ago. They are fed and watered to keep them going, but I'm probably going to chuck them now anyway as there is still no room to put them in. The ones which got planted out are romping away.
