Quick question.  I have heard  people going on about using frontline. I use frontline combi on my cat, can I use this as I am due to get some more from vet and thought i would get a pack of 6 instead of the normal 3. vet wont have to know

I just use the standard frontline for kittens (from 12 weeks old)  Doesnt say anything about being combi on the packet and my chooks are fine with this.

I asked my vet about this yesterday, she said she wouldn't recommend it as there is a specific product licensed for birds and reptiles, but it is quite expensive so for me having quite a few chickens could be prohibitive. I didn't ask any more than that.

So with the frontline how much do you use and how often? Do you put it in the same place as for the dogs/cats, between the shoulders?

I have read the labels on my dog and cat frontline and the strength/formulation of the liquid seems to be the same, it's just the quantity in the little bottles that varies. Is this right, and does it mean you could use either on a chicken?

Thanks for asking about this I've been meaning to do it myself, not finding dusting for mites very effective.

my vet prescribes the frontline spray for my chickens (I do have to sign for it as it isn't licensed for poultry) and they get just a quick squirt between the shoulder blades after parting the feathers.
