Hi,
Has anybody used "Nemaslug Slug Killer" and if you have was it any good, also it would be helpful if you could tell me where you purchased it from, as I have only seen it in a mail order catalogue. Any help would be most apprieciated.

Hi Matthew never used it myself and have never seen it in the shops perhaps it has a ltd shelf life ?

There's a link on the home page if that's any help.

I will be using it next season believe. I will be winning the war against them. I will be send the troops into the soil to kill the slugs. Last up to 6 weeks in the soil. Like my mate says it's not the big fat ones you have to worry about it's the little * under the soil.
I CAME LATE TO THIS GAME, BUT IT'S IN THE BLOOD. I TRY TO BE ORGANIC BUT SORRY HAVE TO USE THE SLUG PELLETS.

hi  - I've used it - its very effective - but subject to weather conditions (as everything) - it has a shelf life so you will prob only get by mail order - I get mine from the organic garden catalogue - it comes as a program of applications - first one and then another 6 weeks later -

glad I did it this year on my garden veg - as my lotty was covered in slugs - will be using it on my spud patch next year down there

Ouch! Just looked at that catalogue and it would cost me about £40 to cover my spud plot. There comes a cut off point when you have to think whether it's worth it or not.
Did it really tell you to do THAT on the packet?

I use it in the garden veg patch once every year  in spring and it's very effective, however it is expensive, it dosts me £13 to do my garden once. I couldn't manage to do it at the lotment.
I find once does it as it kills most of the nests, I mange to pick off any strays that wander into the garden over the summer, and keep on top of the problem with traps etc.

I buy from gree gardener, I tried to use this site but it always redirected me... so I used them instead.

I went down the 6 weekly application this year in the garden  No way I could afford that on an allotment.  but this year it has been far less effective than last because of the weather and the explosion of slug numbers I guess.  Started the year well with very few slugs (decimated them last year with just one late application) but this year it has been a continual battle and I have supplemented with pellets.  I have still only managed to grow 6 spinach plants from an entire packet and several resowings!  Most other stuff has grown just no salad stuff.  But everything has had some damage  It does have a short shelf life, around 5 weeks seems to be what I find, comes with a use by date on it and needs to be kept in a fridge until used.

agree it costs quite a bit - but I lost a good third of my spud crop from slugs (even the ones slug resistant) - so you have to balance that out!!!

I live in hope that economics as they are the more people buy the cheaper they will get!!!

Can you get nematadpoles so that you can raise your own nematodes?

OK - pass me my hat, scarf & anorak. I'll go quietly.

It worked quite well for me last year, this year it did not seem to do so well, you have to keep the soil moist after putting it down.

I get it from Green Gardener, cheapest I've found

Do you reckon you could keep them in jam jars "seeded" with nemaslug then feed slugs to 'em ? keep them warm and well fed most things breed.
